Years ago, when I owned my 1967 BJ8, I recall replacing the clutch all by
myself. As a kid who had never done it before, I simply took out the console
and seats and unbolted the bell housing, drive shaft, etc. Maybe I didn't
know better but .....
I recall renting an alignment tool, and then bolting the transmission back
in place--all by myself from inside the car. I recall how easy it was.
It worked great, and I put 100,000 miles on that new clutch.
