If you hold a hinge up with the pin horizontal looking at the end you will
note that the lower surface slopes slightly.. that's how I tell.
Some have LEFT or RIGHT cast into them but that is too easy.

What defines a left or right hinge? I can't believe the pin holes were  
drilled crooked.
