If you heard something around your firewall, it is likely your solenoid has
stopped working. It may have just lost its electrical connection.
You can physically override the solenoid by pressing the little rubber
button on top of the solenoid, which will throw the switch and engage the
starter.
Try that first and get back to us, let us know what happens.
