>From a welding class I took a few years ago, I recall being told that it is
difficult to feed aluminum wire through a standard MIG gun. But I haven't
tried it myself. Also I think it would be difficult to control the current
and voltage on the relatively thin aluminum shroud. You have much better
control with TIG.
