I agree with Alan,
I know that the earlier cars with iron drums had induction hardened 
brake drums. It's very unusual for the drums to wear or go out of round. 
If the drums are ground oversize for some reason, the hardened surface 
may be eliminated & all bets are off on remaining drum life.
