On my BJ8 I have never used lockwashers on the carb mounting nuts, because
the carbs don't need them, those nuts never come loose.

I note that I've seen BN1s with H4 carbs using lockwashers on the big two
nuts - do I need to be using lockwashers on these nuts?  I'd prefer not to.
Any advise?
