My original msg was too big for the list so I'll split it in half
I've been wondering the same question lately, so I looked it up in
the 2 books I just got. The two colors are the same according to these books.
Original Austin Healey by Anders Clausager says "BMC was in the
habit of sometimes referring to the same color by two different
names. Healey Blue is the same color as Ice Blue (metallic), and Old
English White is the same as Ivory White."
Austin-Healey 100/100-6/3000 by Anderson & Moment says in the
section on BN4-BT7 "The available white shade, coded WT.3, was called
Ivory White on factory blueprints, but referred to in some sales
literature as Old English (Ivory) White. It was the same shade as
the previous Old English White. Pale Ivory White -which is in fact a
pale yellow- was not used on Healeys."
Trying to reproduce these colors is apparently an issue -see the
archives. Editorgary@aol.com recently wrote "if you want to look at
color shades that will be sprayed on a car, never trust any
publication short of one that is printed by a specialist in rendering
accurate color shades (such as Pikovnik used in his excellent Healey
colors reference book which was printed by a firm specializing in
make-up shade cards). "
