I think I've noticed another error in the Haynes manual; my reading of the cam removal procedure in the workshop manual starts with the removal of the sump and oil pump, and goes on to mention the timing gears, distributor drive etc. But the Haynes manual doesn't mention the oil pump- Surely, one must disengage the oil pump before being able to withdraw the camshaft?
