Trying to re install the overdrive with the transmission still in
place is major pain in the ass.
DO NOT TRY IT. You will regret it.
It will not save you any time at all over removing the transmission
and doing the repairs on the bench.
If you are after a trick of the trade remove the transmission to
repair the overdrive. And save the headache.
