At that pressure oil should be squirting out of the rocker when the engine
is running. Take the rocker cover off and see if oil is squirting
everywhere. If oil flow is normal, then I would have a look at your guage.
Your oil sump should have nothing to do with this, unless for some reason
the pan is binding on the pump?
