A side note to prevent future problems - Most states have a "title only"
option when you transfer a car. By doing this you transfer the title to your
name and ensure your clear ownership usually for minimal cost.
Title transfer only does not include "registration" so you will not receive
license plates and agree that the car will not be driven. It is a good option
for project/parts cars.
