I've been using MT-90 in my BJ8 gearbox for a couple of years.  The
only thing I noticed is that the O/D engages a bit quicker (and 
shifting is smoother, too).

FWIW, I used 20W-50 engine oil prior to that.  The Bentley's 
manual I have says that is acceptable.
