I woke up in the middle of the night and realized that I had given Greg the
incorrect answer to his valve guide question last night.
Bronze valve guides should NOT be used in a CAST IRON head.
They are ok in an aluminium head, sort of.
As my kids used to say..."Sorry, mixed up my mind there."
I will say 50 "Hail Marys" and write a blog page explanation.

That was me Greg,
You will be fine using bronze guides in a cast iron head, but avoid using
them in an aluminium head.
One day I'll write a blog post on that...

I need to order valve guides for my head, I NOT spcifically doing a no lead
conversion, but is there any advantage to the magnese bronze vs the standard
guides (moss part #021-017 v #021-023)? I also seem to recall someone
writing about some type of valve and another type of guide not being
compatible because of expansion/shrinkage issues, valves are standard NOS
valves, not stellite or whatever the new exotic material is.
I am thinking just get the standard guides with the valves, but am willing
to be educated.
