That's strange. Why would he do that if it affects authenticity.
Which screws are the fillester type. I would like to check the shocks he
sold me as redbuilds.
Also ask for a quality paint coating. Mine came off in the box. He used
to advertise that they used several coats of black enamel over primer coats,
ready for install. They were not ready for install. One had to go back
because of a "hitch" in its over all travel and of course I had to repaint
them. However no leaking so far since they have been on the "rolling
chassis", but no serious service yet.
