Hi, Ned -
If you bled the air out of the oil pressure feed line to the gauge when you
reinstalled it, the needle will vibrate. The line needs a bit of air in it
to cushion the pressure pulses from the pump. Loosen the nut or disconnect
the line and let a few drops of oil drip out, then reconnect and see if the
vibration problem isn't fixed.

Subject: Oil Pressure Gauge Vibration
I drove my BJ8 today for the first time after installing a new dashboard. Of
course I had to remove and reinstall the safety gauge to do this. Now, when
the engine idles, the oil pressure needle vibrates noticeably. What can I do
about this? Or will it go away with time?
