Hi Stephen,
Just keep turning. The motor is installed with double ended studs. These are
hexagonal in the middle. As long as you keep turning the nut either the nut
will come off or the stud will unscrew from the wiper motor. Either way you
will release the motor.

OK, here's another stubborn item. When trying to undo the nuts
holding the wiper motor mounts to the underdash bracket- I can see
through the gaps between the rubber bushes that the bolt shafts are
turning with the nuts. Because I haven't had to remove this item
before, I would appreciate any suggestions on how to separate the
two!
