I am happy to say that the chassis rebirth is complete on 1960 BT7 6744. The
engine has started and sounds pretty good with the Moss SS exhaust.
My questions are:
1-How important is the 20min. 2000RPM break in for the cam?
That seems like a lot of RPMs for a long time on a brand new engine. Won't
normal driving break in a ground cam and new lifters
along with the rest of the engine?
2- I do have an oil leak at the Moss oil filter adapter. I followed the
directions closely for the oil filter and didn't see any visual problems
when I installed it. I even used the infamous Hylamar to help seal it . The
word UP was on the body so that went UP. It is leaking between the adapter
body and the engine block where the gasket is. So far I just left it until
I could see if any listers have had leaks in this area . Any one have this
problem before. I know I used the right bolts for my car.
Thanks, Mark
