You want to take your tank to a gas tank repair specialist so that they can
repair it properly and pressure test it. If you don't want to go through
the trouble, then get a new tank. I think a new tank is probably a better
bet anyway.

A new, aluminium, tank would be one choice. Head off repeat trouble in the
(hopefully) long term. Personally, when my original tank gave up, I just
threw it away and bunged in the aluminium one.
