This is serious, Boys and Girls .......;-))

I am in a quandary as to when I can celebrate the Golden Anniversary of
one of my Healeys.

As it is known, the 100-6 was produced from August 1956 - March 1959.

The car in question was built 26-31 March 1959.

Dispached 27 April 1959 to USA.

My quandry is, it is VIN # H-BN7-L/405, and it is FACTORY badged 100-6
NOT 3000.

It is a well known fact that the early disc brake cars were badged 100-6,
(was that touse up the 100-6 badging ???), or was it, DMH and GCH had not
decided to change the model designation. It is also unknown ???, at
what VIN the first officially badged 3000 was produced. Any help here???

OH', I forgot to mention, BN7-405 is now a Nasty-Boy and maybe that
excludes it from being celebrated.

Although, at Tahoe Open Roads 2002, 405 did clock 101mph through
the trap which I'm sure DMH and GCH would have approved with a lil-
ole 302 Ford.

Not to mention 405 was sea level tuned, not like some Big Block's
who spent the better part of several days tuning for 7000 foot altitude
and only clocking 104mph.

So therefore, I can only assume, car 405 is a 100-6/3000 and can be
celebrated twice unless otherwise informed.

Not like soneone's BN-3 from the Down Under.with no celebration other
than it's birthdate :-))

Cheers and Healey-On..........
