This process has always been two steps forward, one step back.
I went for a drive around the block to check out the tranny and OD that I
also rebuilt. I used 1st and reverse several times to get out of the garage
with no problem. I went forward in 1st for about < mile proceeding
cautiously. When I tried to shift to 2nd, I couldnt move the shift lever
out of 1st. No combination of clutch and shift lever movement would shift
the gears. I called for my wife to sit in the car and press the clutch while
I pushed the car around to go back to the garage. While I was driving back
in 1st I tried a shift and it worked. And it hasnt stuck since.
Is there something I should check? Was it just stiff?
