Dear Bill,
I installed a radio and speakers in my BJ8 several years ago and have
attached a few images for you to see what I did. I decided that I did not
want to spoil the look of the console, so I fabricated side panels, and
mounted the radio in one of them and then used a blanking plate for the
front. I mounted 6x9 dual element speakers up in the dash and the back of
the dash or firewall acts as a reflective surface to eliminate the need for
ugly housings or holes in the passenger compartment. I can hear the music
selections quit well with the top down, vent windows open and going well in
excess of the speed limit. I still might have the patterns if you would
like to copy what I did.
