Simon, I put an overdrive in my standard class (no OD) BT7 10 years ago, and never installed a relay. Just match RPMs on disengagement or use the clutch. Gearshift lock-out still works. Because I don't use a relay, I've gone a step further and bypassed the entire throttle linkage and replaced it with a bicycle cable. Both throttle and OD are working great. Neal Grotenhuis '61 BT7 |
