Scott,
Rather than plugging or blocking anything, I just bypassed my heater using a
short length of hose - not concours, but neither is it visible unless the
bonnet is up, and so the flow pattern - IF it makes any difference - is
exactly the same. I'm sure many others have done the same thing.
Or, if you wanted to tidy things up a bit, AND lose that goofy lower
radiator hose in the process, ALL vestiges of the heater system could
probably be discarded entirely. Did not some cars come without hearters?
