1958 Austin Healey, 100/6. VIN: BN4L57989
Longbridge 4 seater roadster
(After checking the identification numbers, I found the car to be a 1957
Austin-Healey 100-6 BN4, built at Longbridge during September of 1957. The car
was
titled as a 1958 model because that was the year it had initially been sold
when it was new. It was quite common to place the year of the initial sale on a
new car's title whether it was built during that year or not.)
Healey Blue over Old-English white (Road use withstanding), with Black
interior with white piping, new carpets and new vinyl trunk trim package. New
Robbins sunfast cabriolet top, new in '05. New stainless exhaust. Original
tonneau, and new MOSS blue tonneau, unfitted. New 15" radials on new Dayton
Stainless wire rims. Texas Cooler fan, gone through engine bay, with new
braided
wiring harness. New chrome dashpot covers on dual SU carbs. New Brake lines,
New
clutch, New Overdrive solenoid, New water pump and fuel pump, New side
curtains in original vinyl bag. New Lucas driving lights, and badge bar, and
new
overriders. AM Radio that plays well. A fine example of a car with an older
restoration, very presentable, driveable, and showable, never in an accident.
