BJ8 running lights

Tonight I was reading an article from a periodical dated December 2005.
The author, writing about a 1966 3000 BJ8, states "the large running lights
have different lenses (the right has a prism design and the left is
perfectly clear.)"

I don't recall the driver and passenger side lights of my BJ8 having
unique lenses.
Is this a true statement for all BJ8's?
