HBJ8/42230G left the factory on 20 July 1967 in Silver Grey, with red
trim/white piping and a black top. The BMIHT certificate for the car
indicates it was "finished in a special one-off colour scheme". The
destination is "not recorded" but other information indicates it was built
for the daughter of Lord Lambourn (Len Lord?). Another unusual feature was
that its optional equipment included a hardtop. Hardtops were not normally
available on convertibles.

Hello Rich,
Here in Europe the Concours rules are not that strict and as far as I know
there were 2 or 3 primrose MK 2 BT 7s produced to buyers wishes. To proove
that I need some time at BMIHT at Gaydon. I already have the seats and trim
in black with white piping. I also heard there was one BJ8 produced in
silver with red trim, absolutely rare colour and I have seen one and it
looks beautiful.
