I went with a semi-mettalic pads on my TR4A, I think someone may have said
that they shared brakes with the BJ8s, but I am not sure about that, don't
remember the brand (maybe Repco), but I do remember that they worked much
better when warmed up but much worse when cold.
Now it didn't take long for them to warm up, you could actually feel the
bite increase as they warmed up in one stop, but the initial lack of power
to stop was a little disconcerting.
Maybe other brands are better, maybe a servo makes a difference (my car
didn't have one) but I probably wouldn't put semi-mettalic pads on my
non-servoed non-competition car.
