Hey Peter,
I think your focus is misplaced.
Just what the hell does driving one's Healey to Canada in a "heroic" manner
"many years ago" have to do with placing the car on the club mag cover?
In 1963, ("many years ago") when I was young and fun, and full of c_m.
I drove my Healey from Long Beach, California to Orlando, Florida in 42
hours to hookup with an old girlfriend I had while stationed at McCoy AFB.
(Orlando International Airport) That's "heroic", where's my cover ????
The cover should be a depiction of Reid sitting behind his desk burning the
midnight oil for us, wearing his numerous hats of distinction, guiding
AHCUSA
as President (6 years), Editor of Austin-Healey Magazine / Resource Book,
(more years) etc. etc.etc. I am sure, this club (AHCUSA) and MAGAZINE,
would not be what it is today, if not for Lt.Col.(ret) Reid
Trumml.............
and others. Donald and Geoffrey would be proud.
Well done my friend, awaiting what's to come at AHCA.
Don't forget about us on the left coast.
Kirk Kvam
ps. To the current powers that be (movers & shakers), AHCUSA needs
to honor this man, longest serving President (1997-2002) / Editor in
club history.
Austin-Healey Club Pacific Centre 1970-1996.
Austin-Healey Club USA 1997-2005
