How are you doing?
Early BJ8 tachs are different than later BJ8 tachs. The later ones
involve a pretty simple re-wiring step and it's done... but early
tachs, like the one on my BJ8 , have to have the whole instrument
chassis isolated from ground inside the instrument... a complicated
process. If you don't know which one you have, send it to Margaret
Lucas at Mo Ma, she will know what to do with it.
