Since the turn signals work and the fuse blows only when you step on the brakes I would suspect a short circuit (smoke leak for the eccentrics hereabouts) in the wire which connects the stop lamp switch to the turn signal relay. It is green with a purple tracer and connects to terminal #5. Failing that the problem would have to be internal to the turn signal relay.  |
