Steve: The sheet metal is thin on the inner wheel arch, especially if rust has begun taking its toll. You can weld a plate to the wheel side of the inner wheel arch then bolt the attachment through the plate. Be careful concerning wheel/tire interference and allow for the tire to roll over on the wheel in a heavy turn. Keep the protrusion into the wheel area at a minimum with no excess bolt shank proud of the nut. Best regards, Jim Hockert |
