Alignment revisted

Listers,

As some may remember I recently posted a Q about wear beginning to show on the
outside edge of my front tires, feathering.  The responses I got suggested too
much toe in.  I checked it yesterday and there was about 3/8 toe in.  I reset
it to zero.  How could the toe change this much in maybe 2000 miles of driving
over 3+ years?
