Kirk, The 1954 Carrera Panamericana was very late in the year and the Healey team used two special test cars converted to the 100S specification. SPL258BN was white/blue and SPL226 painted green. When Bill entered the race across the Baja peninsula in 1986 or so, he painted his car with some kind of temporary paint to look like the Shelby SPL258 car. I was there and slept in his van in San Felipe! Sleeping bags were stolen off the luggage rack of our BJ8. Ken Freese 65 BJ8 |
