Ken,
How old is your Concours Originality Guide?
This was corrected a few years ago.
I quote from the 2005 Guidelines:
"BJ7's and BJ8's clamps were double wire clips with Phillips screws on the
BJ8; earlier cars usually have round head slotted screws."
We (National Concours Committee) are continually refining and correcting
details each year. The Anderson/ Moment book is one of the very best
resources we have today, but even the authors realize there are many small
details that have been clarifed and improved upon since the book was
published.

Your BJ7 should be fitted with zinc plated double wire clips with fine
thread (10-32) round head slotted screws.
