As for lock washers, wave washers and starwashers, apparently the air force does not believe in them either for vibration prone environments. Never saw any in my time maintaining C-141s, it was all drilled headed screws bolts and nuts, safety wired to an adjoining stationary point.... But I figured my BT7 would look funny with safety wire all over it..... Dave J. |
