Gentleman
My thanks to: Norm Nock, Krith Pennel, Blue 100, Ron Fine, Bruce Hurley, Ken
Freeze, Roland Wilihelmy, Steve Rizzo, Dave Ward, and Healey Guy !!
The hard starting appeared to be in the choke area. Pulling full choke on then
checking each carb to see if it really was fully choked proved IT REALLY
WASN'T. For some reason there was just a small amount more to go. Before
pulling the cables up that little bit I checked from the carbs up to the "yoke"
and then under the dash to the knob. Didn't discover anything odd. Maybe it
was "cable stretch" over time. Through the battery in, full choke, hit the key
and viola we had lift off. Ran strong and smooth at 1/2 choke and then fine
with no choke.
Thanks for all the hints. I have a longer list now.
Regards to all.
