For Readers in the Los Angeles area, I found a welder who travels and is reasonably priced. He's based in Pasadena, but will drive anywhere. 1 hr minimum at $60/hr. He came to my house Saturday and arc-welded my BJ8-style radius arm brackets to my axle. I was very satisfied with the workmanship. He said he drives all over the Los Angeles area.
