I have been using a $20.00 Sears meter for work for years. Lost too
many of the expensive ones either in testing or misplacing. They work
great for our cars too.
I highly recommend a meter with an audible beeper for continuity
testing. Great for blind ciruit checking when your tied in a knot and
can't see the meter display and a big help when setting static timing on
point type distributors. You don't need to have your ignition on to adjust
the timing as you would with a timing light or testor.
