Hi Scott

In Australia you can buy  triple weber carb package including 3 new 45mm
DCOE webers, jetted to your requirements, new manifold and new linkages for
about $2500 AUD. Most weber manifolds will require some modifications to the
pedal box and perhaps the inner guard and may require some modifications to
the mudguard so you can access the carbs more easily.

The webers will give you a better punch out of corners in the case of
rallying but if you are only doing circuit racing there is hardly any
difference betwen SUs and webers.

Whether you require more head work depends on a miriad of issues including
cam shaft specs, valve sizes and lift, power range requirements etc etc.

All that said nothing beats the sound of webers sucking air.
