If, indeed, the car carrier was high-centered on the tracks as he claimed, I'm 
afraid that the railroad won't have a prayer of collecting from him. They are 
responsible for the crossing approaches.

Oh yea, I almost forgot.

Gary F., thanks for sending us to the Pelican Parts site. I wound up spending 
$400 on parts for my Porsche. I didn't really need to do that!

I hope these owners get their claims in early.  The article I read said the 
train that hit the carrier went off the tracks, so the railroad's lawyers will 
be definately submitting a whopper of a claim and I can't see this independant 
trucker having unlimited gobs of insurance.  Hopefully the little guy doesn't 
get the raw end of the deal...
