When l worked in the LUCAS garage in Birmingham England in the late late 40's and early 50's we used to get cars in that period and prewar cars that the head light reflectors had become dull with age ...the reflector and the glass were two seperate pieces , we would send the reflectors to the plating shop to be re -- silvered , came back looking like new ,,, HOPE THIS HELPS YOU ...
