Front wheel bearings

I orderd new front wheel bearings for my BJ8 and did
not order shims because I've read that BJ8s use ball
bearing type of bearings for the front wheels with NO
shims while early BJ8s and earlier Healeys use a
tapered type of wheel bearing with shims. I am basing
this on information in the Moss catalog and Norm
Nock's Tech Talk book.
If I am mistaken please let me know.
