Ken,
Trying to calculate or compare springs by measuring dimensions or 
calculating is not very accurate. Also on multiple carbs, the springs 
should be as closely matched as possible.
I use the method suggested by Jim Taylor at JCNA.
Put the spring in a clear plastic or glass tube. Apply the designated 
weight on top & measure the length.
The following specs are given;
Blue = 2 5/8" high at 2.5 ounces
Red = 2 5/8" high at 4.5 ounces
Yellow = 2 3/4" high at 8 ounces
Green = 3" high at 12 ounces
Red/Green = 3 7/8" high at 11 1/4 ounces
