I only use the Hirsch paint. A quart will do a bunch of engine / trans 
combos.  It covers extremely well and is the right color if you stir it
well before 
using. I think I covered three engines and at least that many
transmissions on 
the last quart and gave some to Andy King to use on one of his projects.
A 
small tough up gun works. You could use $30 worth of aerosol cans pretty
quick.
