Mick,

The retaining rail is only for those cars (the BN6/7's). They have two chrome
clips on the rear deck the the rail hooks to. Our cars tops snap to the pins
around the cockpit (the same pins that are used to attach the tonneau Cover)

Subject: Early BN4 Top Frame Questions

My Longbridge BN4 came only with the top frame itself when I bought it (no
bow, clamps, clips, etc.), so I'm a little bit clueless about what else is
supposed to be there. I started digging through the Moss catalog, hoping
to
figure out what I need to buy, but it just lead to a ton of questions.
Other
than the wood top bow (part 806-080), they're also showing a Retaining
Rail,
but the only one available is for a BN6/7. Is there a difference, or can I
use the rail for a BN6 on my BN4? How is the top attached to the rail and
top
bow? Is the top bow the same for all six cylinder roadsters (pre BJ7's)?
I
also see something called a "Hood Seal", which I'm assuming is just a strip
of
rubber. How is the seal attached to the top? Is it just glued on?

  Thanks,
