I've got one, and one nice thing about it is that it is "self-contained"
(ie. the only thing going to it is power).

I like the fact that it can monitor the RPM in addition to the three axes
accelerometers.  It also doesn't need to be installed in any particular
orientation, but can determine it's orientation from a quick (1-2 second)
acceleration in "drag racing" mode.

It does include Windows software (iPass) to look at the saved runs, you do
need to hit 'OK' to, and 'OK' to end the run (it isn't automatic in Road
Race mode).  It doesn't do mapping, although you can get that

Geez! has additional functionality that you have to pay extra to get.
However, the addition of monitoring RPM can help in the analysis of a run.
