Try these settings for defaults in your recording Options
program:

AutoStart Threshhold 0.40
AutoStop Threshhold 0.10
AutoStop Duration 3
Minimum Run 40

These settings seem to really clean up the extra runs on
most cars. I use these on everything from Mini's to
Corvettes and they seem to work very well. Also be sure
that you are sitting still and on reasonably level ground
when you hit AutoStart. This will generally made everything
work pretty smoothly. (I should change our factory defaults
to these numbers as experience has shown them to be so good
for most purposes).

Remember that the Minimum Run *could* need to be lowered if
you are running extremely short courses. The 40 second time
shown above includes the 5 seconds in the AutoStart Loop,
and the 3 seconds in the AutoStop loop, plus the time from 0
to timer and from the timer to when you finally fall below
0.10 g's. All of this means that even a run as short as
28-30 seconds would still be saved.
