I lost the email but there was a question about using Geez in road races

This list is one of the several currently available with a web based,
searchable archive. I guess I better update the trailer. If your internet
access is web capable, check out http://www.team.net/archive

Currently the archives are not updated as messages come in, but only twice
a day at 4, Mountain Time. Expanding the archives to include all 80+ Team.Net
lists is certainly on my To Do list, and those of you who are subscribed to
other autox.team.net lists will soon see this discussed in the spring fund
drive message.

If you don't have web access, you can still get monthly batches of postings
using the majordomo 'index' and 'get' commands. Send off a plain text
message to majordomo@autox.team.net with nothing in it but

  index geez

You should get back a listing of files and various information about them,
like file size and date written, which you can retrieve using get:

  get geez geez.archive.200110

This will result in a copy of the single message from October of 2001 being
mailed back to you. Basically the format of the get command is

  get geez geez.archive.YYYYMM

In truth, this index and get mechanism could be possibly be used for sharing
run files and such, if so desired, as well as FTP service on ftp.team.net.

Archives start with the introduction of the list in August of 1999, and the
majordomo archives are updated with each message sent in. If I get some newer
and faster hardware on line after the upcoming fund drive, updating the web
archives will happen more frequently. And one of these days I may even get
a cube in my racer - a real participant instead of just a lurker, wow!
