I use Duplicolor DE1635 SG black engine enamel on the block & related part=
s; on race engines I paint the bolt-on parts w/machinery gray, so it's easy=
to see oil leaks, & Glyptal on the inside... IF it's perfectly clean.

Sounds like I might get my motor back from the Machine Shop this week. When=
I talked to them they asked if I wanted the Block painted.=C2=A0 I=E2=80=
=99m not sure.=C2=A0 Factory motors were semi-gloss black as I remember but=
I do have a spare motor I have had since 1996 when I bought my car from Bo=
b Schaller=E2=80=99s widow and the block on that motor is Red. I=E2=80=99m =
thinking that might be interesting or even paint it the Yellow or Green of =
