there are several gear types on the flywheel and the gear on the starter =
needs to match.
There are pull push types, or push pull types, the engage flange need to =
fit and also the teeth distance and such stuff.

Besides that, those starters are quite reliable.

Has anyone had a problem with the Wosp gear reduction starter? I =
installed one on a new engine and after 15/20 starts, the starter spins =
but does not engage the ring gear. Battery voltage is 12.60, engine is =
properly grounded, all cables, solenoid and wiring are new.=20
Any recommendations on a gear reduction starter?
